V3AD HDTV Component Video and Digital Audio Balun |
|
The Intelix
V3AD
balun is an ideal solution for routing high definition (HDTV)
signals over structured cabling, such as Cat 5. The V3AD does
not require power and supports 480i/p, 720p, and 1080i/p resolution
video. The V3AD
was discontinued on January 1, 2007. It was replaced by the
AVO-V3AD-F.

Example System |
Example System 1: Two V3AD baluns connect a satellite to a
remote plasma and an audio receiver. Digital audio and HDTV video from the
satellite is balanced by the source balun, transmitted over the Cat 5
cabling, and then unbalanced by the receive balun. The send V3AD
connects directly to the satellite's component (YPbPr) video RCA
connectors, and a short RCA cable is used to connect the V3AD to the
digital audio output. The receive V3AD is connected directly to the
RCA inputs on the plasma, and a RCA cable is used to connect the V3AD
to the audio receiver's digital audio input.

Example System 2: Two V3AD baluns connect a DVD player to a
television. Digital audio and component (YPbPr) video from the
DVD player is balanced by the source balun, transmitted over the Cat 5
cabling, and then unbalanced by the receive balun.

Example System 3: Two V3AD baluns connect a satellite to a
projector and an audio receiver.
The receive V3AD is connected directly to the
RCA inputs on the projector, and a RCA cable is used to connect the V3AD
to the audio receiver's digital audio input.

Example System |
Example System 4: Two V3AD baluns connect a digital video
recorder (DVR) to a television. Digital audio and component (YPbPr) video from the
DVR is balanced by the source balun, transmitted over the Cat 5
cabling, and then unbalanced by the receive balun.
